if they are 8 in wide rims the widest I'd go is maybe 255 or 275. 275's are gonna give you alot of bulge.

Yeah exactly what he said. The bulge you can live with though and you would have 275s. If they are 9 inchs then there is no problem than.

I have 275 Nitto DRs on my 8" rims and you can see the middle is wearing faster than the outside. Stock my car came with 255s so I assume the rim is wide enough for those with no problems.

Sounds like you have too much tire pressure in your tires what psi are you running? Usually thats the culprit.

I dont think you have put enough mileage to be able to tell. Plus he had DRs and you have street tires.

I had a set of 275/40 on my factory Tri bars and i had my psi at 28 and still wore in the center there is really no getting around wearing in the middle. They didn't have any buldge either they sat flush with the rim. There were a PITA to get on though took me about 15 min a tire. I would just look at getting a set of rims or go with 255 thats the widest i would go with.

only fatory 9 inch wheel is the R's and 03-04 cobra... tri bars were 8's, same with 94-01 cobras.. and i only run 24 psi in my nitto drag rad's.. wearing even since they have been on. 275 is as wide as you should go on a 8 inch wheel. ive seen pics of a 315/35 on a 8 inch wheel.... to unsafe for me, but... to each there own
