Anyone running 245/45 r17 tires on 7x9 wheels? I could get a good deal on 7x9 wheels, but I want to keep my brand new tires. I'm not sure if they will look stretched or not.

245 is as narrow as Id go. I actually picked up a set of wheels over the winter that have 245/40 18s on the 9" fronts. I'd say they look slightly stretched. My favorite width for a 9" wheel up front is a 265.

I have 245's on a 18x9 and it does look stretched.

245 up front and 265 on the rear. 18x9's all around

Yeah if that was anything but a Nitto you would have lots of sidewall bulge. I can find pics somewhere if you're curious

I have 315 NT555 DRs on my 10.5, and they barely bulge. I just purchased the Nitto 275 NT555 G2 for the front to replace the old 275 Falkens on the factory 17x8 Bullits... I then had to order 17x9 wheels from LMR because the Nittos are an inch wider than the 275 Falkens lol.

I have the firestone firehawk tires on mine. They are grippy. I've like them so far. I have 275 40 18s on mine. Lots of tire.

285/40x17 rear with 1/2” spacer
All on SVE 17x9’s
All 4 Nitto 555 G2’s all around. Good tires.


I used to run 315/35x17 rears DR and 555’s, but decided it looked a little too much for my taste, which I would describe as subtle.
