I need some help guys. i just recently purchased 2 tokico blues for the rear because my old shocks were toast. Im running a 2" lowering spring. I installed the thinking it was going to be a night and day difference but...... NO.
There wasnt any difference at all! I did buy from ebay so being skeptical already I emailed the guy and long story short, he said I need "custom shortened shocks that will cost an arm and a leg to compensate for the drop."
Does this make sense? Im sure theres a lot of people running these shocks with sportlines or H&R's.

Um... no. you dont need "custom shortened shocks". the ride should be about the same as stock, maybe a bit stiffer, with much better control.

Actually with a 2'' drop you would be better off with 93-older shocks vs 94+ shocks. Our shocks are longer then fox shocks/struts and you are probably bottoming out your shocks which is why they feel like crap. Ask the seller if you could do an exchange for fox shocks (they are shorter), if not either live with it or sell them off at a loss and pick up some fox shocks.

actually, i did purchase the 87-93 fox shocks. After reading a few posts on here. I talked to the guy today and he says hes been selling the Tokico's for 10 years without any issues.
the only thing I can think of is my springs are shot? im not sure whats more likely my springs are about 5 years old.
