Well I was on my way home from Gettysburg, PA. Just sold my gt40 setup having a good trip, windows down, enjoying some good old Alan jackson, lady in front of me slammed on her brakes, so I slammed mine, came to a stop looked up in my rearview, and wouldn't you know....A Chevy astro is coming right up on me! Finally it slammed into me pretty good :ky:
So we pulled up in the McDonald's parking lot, were there happened to be two cops sitting.... So I get out look at my car, My rear bumper is scratched up and cracked pretty good, some scratches on my trunk, and my left light. My left tail pipe is kinked where it goes over the axle and my left shock is leaking all over the place. Her van had the bumper shoved in, her grill was destroyed, her middle rad support was all bent up and the condenser was shoved through the radiator!!! pourin coolant like hell!
Turns out that she wasn't insured for the van or something like that, because her partners wife had the van insured under her personal name. (it was a work van). So I may be having to take this to small claims.... But anywho her van was f**ked, and the good ole' Mustang drove home! So Luckily I'm picking up my truck tomorrow, because who knows how long it'll take for this insurance bullshit to come through :angry7:

Damn, that sucks man. Don't let the insurance company screw you over. I had to hound the insurance company after my wife got hit by a ranger at 45mph (she was at a dead stop).

Glad to hear you weren't hurt or anything... People need to pay attention when they drive.

If you for any reason feel hurt by any means it's always best to go get checked out. I made a bad choice after the wreck i was in. I was at a dead stop a guy hit me at 55mph. I went to the hospital and after 6 months of therapy i thought i was ok. I am still feeling that wreck to this day and that was a good 5 or so yrs ago. I shouldn't have settled for what i did. I am now paying for it now.

Point is always cover all your basis even if you have to front the cost. Its better to be safe then sorry with your health.

LMAO, yea, it's normaly never good from behind. I'm a little stiff from it, but all is good. They deffinatly won't be screwing me over, I'm running it down to a shop on wedsday to get an estimate. But I really don't car about the paint ( it's been keyed countless times before I owned it anyway) I just want the shock and exhaust fixed.... So the rest will go into my stroker fund :eek:ccasion14:....... Or to get my truck running good, either way.
I don't think she was goin quite 45 lol, but she musta been haulin because it threw my radio right out of the dash!!

Yea I actually feel pretty decent, my back is sore, but I've been lifting tires all day for the last few days... If it doesn't go away in a day or two I'll probaly stop in. Sorry to hear that man, same thing happened to my gf when she was 9!

The sooner you go in the better it will make it a better if you have to get a Lawyer or have to go to small claims court.

Not entirely true. I completely took out a '95 (launched him through a 4 lane intersection where he hit another vehicle) with my '99 Silverado Z71. I had a dent the size of a basket ball in my front bumper. His car was 100% totaled and had to get towed away.

Crone ~ I hope everything works out well for you and in a speedie manner.

You need to see a Dr and a Chiropractor ASAP... you could have damage in your back and neck and not even know it. I felt OK after my accident and then the next day it got worse and 3 days later i could barely walk all because of a herniated disk that shifted and hit a nerve. Get checked out and don't go to a family DR as they don't want to deal with an Insurance Company.

My best advice i could give you is to get an accident lawyer. It does not cost you anything and they will have lists of DR's who will work with you and they will get your car fixed and get you more money.

Let someone else deal with the headache of that idiot and the Insurance Company that will refuse to cover her etc.

auto accidents suck glad your OK
If you have full coverage and you have the cash for the deductable, you can go through your ins. co. to get the car fixed then have them get the money out of the other ins. co..
You also need to go to the Dr. immediatly and have the accident documented. After that you have 3 years to settle any further claims. Back injuries can take a while to show up

Thanks everybody!! I only have liability sadly (I'm 18, so full coverage would bend me over). I'm not to worried about getting the car fixed right away, it would have been taken off the road today anyway, just not damaged.... I have my truck for the winter so it sucks, but actually at pretty good timing (as best as it could have gotten anyway). I'll post up pics maybe thursday, but there isn't to much to look just spider cracks, scratches, and the exhaust which is mangled, but all the way under the car, I'll see what I can do though!!
