top speed

Whats the speed our cars are supposed to top out at? On the freeway today my car would stay at 100 with the pedal to the floor. My brother was right behind me in his 95 v6 and was hitting 110 but i was gone! i just got my aode rebuilt last week and was at 4000 rpm, Im barely gaining confidence with it after all the problems that arose when i first got it. thanks

are you sure the speedo is correct? a gps is pretty accurate to use for a reference.
It also depends on what gears you have, a 4:10 will hit the rev limiter sooner.
How old is your tune up? When was the last time you cleaned the MAF?

I'm not sure what gears I have, as far as I know its stock but I barely started running it to see if its still heats up but no problems with that. And a tune up is in order but I'm just curious.

For a GT or a 6'r? I've had my GT to 133 or 137? It still had more pedal to give it! That was fast enough for me.

Yeah man I just started to run it because of all the problems that popped up. And I just sold a 306 long block cause of the tranny and school, but ill look into it more cause it didn't seem right and gonna try and borrow some stands to see what gears I have but I don't think it should affect my it to only get me to 100. Thanks

Ive topped bout 120-130 in my stang but it took aaallooonnggg time and was really stupid to try.

My car is a 94 gt with a 5 speed with minor power improvements

Here's stupid! Like 2 weeks after I bought my car I took it to show to my cousin's. Also know that I went from 1/13/02 to 8/3/03 of not driving anything, @ all. Coming back I was on the toll road going into OKC, OK. I got behind an 99-02 Mustang GT in a small town @ the red light. From there on, we went no less than 100 MPH to where I exited the road. He even waited on me @ the spot where you pay. He had that Pass thing, I didn't.

I never thought about that I had only been driving for about a week @ the most. Sure I did for 9 years before my coma. I had to relearn just about every thing though. Dumbass move on my part!!

I got home safe as ever & only told this story to those cousins & now y'all.

Haha good story! yeah we were coming back from a friends house and my brothers a big instigator. So he pulls up next to me and waits then takes off so i floor it and start gaining on him till i pass him and leave him about 15 cars behind. But we passed another stang it looked like an 07, it was grey with black stripes and the guy had a big ol tach so were chillin then i see him behind me so i floor it again but nope he couldnt catch up along with my little bro

I've gotten mine up to 110 on the road by my house... really long straightaway with a hill on one end to speed up. And that's reallllly easy to do. My car only has minor, minor improvements btw. It just scares me to go any faster on a two lane road.

I was keeping up with a bunch of youngsters in supercharged Roushes once...I saw 115-120 on the LA freeways, they pulled me super strong but I always caught back up...then they took a circular but well banked off ramp at 105 thinking I could not or would not keep up! Ha! LOL, it was fun listening on the radio to the comments about the old guy staying right with them!! They didn't think I would do it, but I felt like the car had some margin left so kept on the gas & hung right with them. Fun...

130mph I was racing a chick in a v6 01 mustang she had a cam and NOS we went from a dip and she blew her intake apart and then got mad bc i beat her, She started talking shit about me. Then all I said was you used NOS on stock intake and fucked up bitch and i won shut the H*ll up and her bf got all mad!!! it was awsome

My car has 4.10s and I've hit 113 before letting off and I still ahd a couple grand to go....

built motor + blower or just either or and some 3.55,3.73 ,390 gears and u will be doing 150-170mph, some

good old 3.90's, and 4,10s,4.30's etc..
etc, and u will be topping out @ 100-130 or less haha

and stock should be around 130-140ish with some mods and no governore prob 140-150ish
