It's a pushrod motor, not a Modular

. My insurance valued the car at $9k before, and I won't see any of that back if I part out the car. I'm better to go with the insurance cheque as up north unlike the USA, our insurances companies are AS much as a**holes when it comes to modded cars, they take upgrades into consideration. Notable things done to the car are: Trickflow top end kit, 3.73 rear end, rebuilt with Astro T5 parts, Centerforce clutch, FRPP alum. driveshaft, brand new saleen rims, full magnaflow exhaust, Cobra hood/bumper, 2004 Mach 1 seats, completely repainted/fixed of rust exterior. Engine is still the original 230000kms bottom end, but with the trickflow stuff, FRPP 30# injectors, new oil pump/water pump/power steering pump and rack, Tubular K member, motor/tranny mounts with 5k on them. 275/35r18 and 255/35r18 BFG KDW tires with 8/32nds of thread life left. If they give me $9k for it, I'll take the money and run. Any less, buy back car and part out.

The insurance company doesn't care what happens to the car. I had less stuff than you, my insurance company gave me $16K (because I had receipts for everything), then I bought the car for $1000, and made another $4K on parts.

Good luck on getting the money out of it and finding a mack or cobra and if you do decide to part it out let us know cause I wouldn't mind having some of the trickflow stuff.

it sucks looking at those pics. As weird as it might sound if my car got wrecked anything like that I wouldn't want it after, just wouldn't feel the same to me.

Whatever happens get it back and part her out then you can salvage it all even cut the front end off and sell a half cut and all that would go to the scrap heap would be some bent pieces. If you dont do it someone else will and all your work went well yeah to them..

I didn't even let the tow truck bring my car to a wrecking yard. I sat there, hurt and bleeding for 90 minutes after my wreck while I waited for a tow truck to come that I KNEW would drop my car in my garage... safe and sound. Stuff gets stolen like crazy at junkyards.

Eff that noise.

It's in the insurance compound that is under high security, for me to go in there today to get some crap out of their was a 15 minute process to get permission lol. As I said, I have to wait and see what happens. I won't be back in this car sadly, which is depressing as this WAS my first car that I ever owned and my first car I ever modded, so I basically lost a child to me lol.

. Hood is good physically, but the hood pins sheared into it, there is pics of the damage on the last page. I found a few nice termies in the USA, I love the cnd dollar being par with the US dollar, makes me a very happy shopper lol. And for nostalgic purposes, here is my car the day I bought from my brother, August 21st, 2007

A little side note, I will NOT be looking at yellow cars

. Despite the fact this one was yellow, I actually hate yellow, I wanted a Blue mustang but couldn't afford/find one so I bought my brother's yellow one. Colours I'm looking at include: Sonic blue(top of the list), Azure blue(mach 1), Black, White, Red, and Orange.

I am so sorry bro this happened. I hope you have full coverage and all the receipts for the parts. I asked my insurance company if they had special coverage for that for being modded and they do or they said just keep all the receipts and they will reinburst me. The car was looking so good too. So just get the check buy it back and you sir will have a good amount of money to spend on a new pony.

I've done that twice now, and the insurance reimbursed me for the tow too. My buybacks were very cheap because they had certificates of destruction. The insurance company only cares what there little computer program tells them the amount they can sell the car to a junkyard for. Each of my buybacks were under $500.
