Track times???

Ok ive asked before but i can't find the thread where i posted. Im taking my car up to the track sunday. The local mustang club i am a member of is renting out the track. Im sure to get plenty of runs. Im gonna take a few passes on street tires and then switch to the welds with the MT ET streets. So what can i run? Its lightly modded with 4.30 gears, JLT RAI, Pro 5.0 shifter, BBK o/r H-pipe, and Flowmaster mufflers. The motor was recently just rebuilt.

low 13's I would say, and if you have sticky tires with good weather you COULD maybe brush the 12's

I drive good. Not the best by far but i can def hold my own. What u suggest i launch at? I was thinkin around 3k. :dunno:

hell man thats going to depend on your tires and the track prep. You have 430's so its going to have a lot of low end and spin like a mo fo. If your on street tires you will have to slip that clutch BIG time to get a clean 3 grand launch. DFG Pimpin just ran 12.8's with his and he has some rear susp mods to help him plant his rear, this is why I said low 13s for you unless you get a great run and can brush the 12's.

you dont have any LCA or UCA or springs or shocks do you?

sorry just seen your on street tires first then your going to the MT's

with the street tires I say 13.2 and then the Mt's a 13.0 ;D

WOW whats your weight?!?! my gt is on welds d.r. 4.30's ...cold air ...o/r h flowmasters and a 100 shot of nitrous and im only hitting a mid 13... :dunno: if your saying a cobra can do what my car can and im running nitrous this car is going by the road tomorrow morning that shits nuts

launch at 4500-6000, put the tire pressure at around 14-15. You have to play with the RPM to see where the best launch point is. On street tires, i will say you end up with a 13.5 or higher with a 2.2+ 60'. But with the ET Streets, you should hit 12s or very very low 13s with a 1.7-1.8 60'....good luck O0
