Trans finally bit the dust:(

I dont want this in the transmission forum for the simple reason that you dont get much response in there. Plus my questions are partiular to these cars.

Now, what I'm looking for is any advice on maybe installing a c4 or ive heard a 4r70w from a newer 6 cyl will work as well. I dont have the money to buy a built aode and I hate to put a old used one in there just to replace it again soon. I would just like to know if anyone here has done these swaps and what all u had to do and the results of the swap.

The car currently has 2.73s and basic bolt ons nothing major. 94 gt This car currently sees almost no highway but I dont want a car that cant go down the highway. drag strip is a lil over a hr away lol.

I dont know what I will do but any help or advice is appreciated, thanks

rebuilt autos arent that expensive is it allready a stick? theres a guy around my area that builds t-5s and runs 10's with them for 1100 i beleive or just get hd t-5 for like 1200

no if it were a 5 spd i would just stay with it but its automatic and I was planning on staying with an automatic. Its not out of the question though

Just do a 4r70w, you will have to double check but im almost positive that the 6cyl ones will work. Or you could just ahve the aode rebuild with the 4r70w parts.
