So my t-45 is acting up a little bit. When I really run it hard it becomes difficult to shift. The gates get hard to get into. It doesn't do this unless I really get my foot into it. I don't think its the clutch because it doesn't happen all the time. I drained the tranny and put all new fluid into it and it got alot better but the problem is still there. Someone has also told me that i should check the clutch cable and make sure it isn't to close to the longtubes.
Shoot me straight guys. Could it be the cable or is it time for a rebuild?

Car has 70,xxx miles.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the help. Anyone else have any ideas of what this is. The shifts are never rough, no slipping, only hard to get in the gates after she trots a little bit.

Just curious, what kind of fluid did you use? It kinda sounds like it could be the clutch, but may also be the trans fluid getting hot or something. Check the adjustments on your shifter too.

Hopefully someone else can help ya a little more than I can.

Hmmm. Cuz mine actually shifted better with that fluid in it than with the Royal Purple.

Im really starting to think it could possibly be the clutch cable by the longtubes. I just really dont feel like getting out the jack stands right now.

I was also told by someone that it sounds like I could be running it hard then causing the gears to heat up and swell making it hard to shift. kinda makes sense..

That's kinda what I was thinking. I think the blocker rings are made of brass, and they will swell faster than your gears. They allow your synchronizers to work and match the speed of the different gears.

I'd definitely check your cable too. I missed the part that you had longtubes.

Don't beast on it so much :tongue3:

Maybe going with a different fluid like RP might help. Kind of an expensive guess though.
