I'm changing out the clutch fork, throwout bearing, and the pivot ball. Is there anything I need to know from your personal experience for this project?

just did the clutch myself. After asking around I was old the exedy stage 3 would be the best for me to handle the new vortech. It comes with its own throw out bearing but I was told to pay the extra and get a ford racing TOB. and if by some strange chance this is going into a fox I have a clutch cable for it I can sell you as I ordered the wrong one.

The toughest part will be dropping the trans itself. But everything is pretty straight forward. Post any questions you have along the way. As for clutch cables, don't even try to use it unless its an Maximum Motorsports or from a Ford dealer.

If yours is fine, you don't need a new one. Just saying if you do buy one, make sure you buy one that will last....

use OEM clutch cable (or MM if you need an adjustable one)
use a FRPP H.D. TOB *ONLY* do *NOT* use any other TOB.

see now when I did my clutch I asked the guy that was helping me(same dude helped me pull the motor and has been building some bad assed cars for years now) and he said he just ran the stock quadrant. What does the upgraded quadrant buy me?

People feel like the stock plastic quadrant is weak, so they upgrade to an aluminum quadrant.

The clutch fork is really easy to swap. I think the pivot ball has an adjustment that you have to pay close attention to. I'm not real sure but I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in.
