ok so i got a 96 mustang with the world class t5 trans... i had to replace my 5th gear, and forunately i guessed the correct tooth count as the stock gear.. but the thing is that i dont understand... with a 25.68 tall tire, at 80 mph, with supposed .51 ratio, i still turn just under 3k when i did the caculations on jawsgear.com and it says i should be turning like 1996 rpm, i do have 373 gear ratio in the rear end.. maybe someone can help give me answer or something... or unless i need more teeth on the tooth to make it lower on the rpms for cruising, im just totally lost on it.. my whole idea was to be able to cruise in the desert since i currently live in arizona... and do 80 + ...especially since the traffic flies past ya doing that lol .. if anyone has an idea or answer or something ill definitely appreciate it.

Yea it's revving higher Cus of the 3.73 gear change. It makes the gears alot shorter.I'm not sure but you might want like .62 overdrive gear not entirely sure tho
