transmission swap

Can anyone answer this for me? I have a 02 GT and I have been having transmission problems. I found a transmission from an 05 GT for dirt cheap. Are these interchangable?

Nah there not interchangeable. Look for transmission that allows itself to bolt up to your year. 2005 is totally different.

You need a t45 Or 3650

05 is still a 3650 but not the same,make sure what you get its out of 99-04,pre 99 t45 will fit and technically work but your speedo prob won't and the shifter is diff.

thank you all for the info. i have been fighting with this tranny for about a year now and im about to my wits end. i think i am going to bite the bullet and fork out the dough for a new one. thanks again.
