I've struggled with pumps and all that laying on the ground the first time I put fluid in the trans in one of these cars. Now the shifter comes off everytime lol

Ok, got er dun! The shop that installed the TKX and all the MM rear suspension components changed the rear gear oil for me free of charge! Took a bit more doing than a typical rear gear oil change because had to drop the Panhard bar to get to the drain plug (PITA), which I could never have done in my driveway!
So now I should be good for the next 30k. :)

Why did you bother to change the diff fluid after such low miles?

Was just for peace of mind since the new 3.55 gears were installed just over 1k before. I checked out the oil and no chunks, shavings, etc.
But for my dollar it was worth it. I’m way OCD on preventative maintenance, admittedly!
