Trunk license trim panel removal

OP, what yr is your car? A '94-'95, yes?

I believe those extra 2 'nuts' was a '94-'95 thing. My '98 trunk only had the 4 nuts. But i pulled a wingless trunk off a '94 and painted it, then went to swap the license plate piece and ran into this issue. PITA separating it lol.

I could very easily seen them getting axed when they took the mustang through its cost-cutting savings they did in 97. There were not needed so it would just save some cash for them to leave them off.

I agree. I have my stock lid off my 1994 GT and a wingless lid off a 1996 Cobra and the license inserts are different

Porsche charges thousands more for lighter de-contented versions of their cars.... :)
