Wow clean cars! Still blows my mind ford kept the 10 spline input shaft even on the terminators.

Got some more mods completed tonight.
1st up is the METCO tensioner arm support bracket.
I also decided to get a new tensioner and pulley setup at the same time and replace the 2003 original and well used item!
Installation was pretty straight forward. This support arm will prevent the tensioner from flexing under load and help prolong the life of the belt.

Next up was the stainless coolant crossover plug that I purchased to replace the rusted and ragged factory one!
I had to use vice-grips to remove the old plug as the center square (1/4 drive) was rounded out.
The new one installed quickly and easily and makes it much easier to remove in the future with the 19mm hex head.

A very good friend of mine is one of their main tuners now. However, from what I gather, it's pretty tough for them to give discounts. They really do try to give everything to people at reasonable prices, like, barely making anything over what their costs are. So, it's nice to know they aren't out to gouge you.
I use it on the PorterCable but same idea. I will say, I don't necessarily find myself finishing the cars much faster. However, they are being finished much better, because stuff that I give up on with clay bar I will spend the time to get out with the nanoskin.
I had to remove my T56 to diagnose a broken release bearing retainer sleeve!!!
Time for a heavy duty upgrade and might as well do the 26 spline stuff at the same time! HAHA
Also figured out I had a RAM clutch installed by the previous owner.

I took the T56 to Bobby Brinkley to go thru it and make sure it's ready for what I have in store next. LOL.
Fastlane ordered my McLeod RST twin disc clutch kit, Ford pilot bushing and throwout bearing, and SPEC aluminum flywheel.
Melvin also helped me with a new rear seal installation.
I started the installation of the flywheel and clutch last night.
Got it all buttoned up with new ARP fasteners for the flywheel.
That RST clutch is badass! Super quality. I cannot wait to drive it!
So now the wait is on getting the T56 back and installed, then I move into the engine bay for next stage of mods.

I also installed the head-cooling mod that allows water to flow from the back of the driver side head over to the passenger side to allow recirculation.
Fastlane got me the MMR kit and it is nice! My only complaint was MMR didn't include enough hose clamps, but that was easy to remedy at my local Auto zone. LOL.

Interesting jackstand placement, never seen that before.
How did that pilot bearing puller work out? Ive never had good luck getting our bearings out with pullers.
Worked great. I rented it from my local Auto Zone. Once I had it in place, the bearing came out with about 4 taps. All in all about 30 seconds and it was out.

Got my T56 back from Brinkley this week.
Had to freshen it up with the 26 spline input shaft, billet bearing shaft, 2nd gear replacement, shift fork pads, and new synchros.
Ran into a problem getting the trans back into the car.
I used the plastic alignment tool and it slid in fine.
However the trans would only go about 1/4" and then stop.
I ended up having to get a 26 spline input shaft, stick it in the clutch disks, and then loosen/retighten the pressure plate to get the alignment perfect.
After that, the trans popped right into place.
Other than costing me some time today, it worked out ok.
I then installed my MGW shifter and Cobrabob's gasket set.
Next I moved under the hood to remove the supercharger and start removal of the valve covers.

What's the deal with the cam cover removal? New covers? Cam swap or degree?
