Ok, Im completely clueless when it somes to mods for sn95s. I came from a couple s197s and of course everything is getting custom tunes, and using what ever tuner you prefer. Is it about the same for these cars. I see some stuff about tuning and some about chips. Whats the route I need to take to get some power outta my '94 with 5.0? I have an sct xcal 3 left from my 05 gt. Interchangeable at all?

I **think** sct only goes back to 97 (even bypassed 96) ... but there are some options for both doing basic chips to full dat logging (such as 1/4 horse)

What are your goals for the car and your current budget?

My goal for the car is a daily driver for the most part, and I want as much relatively cheap power as I can get. I don't really want to tear into it and do a HCI right now, plus that over a grand in parts, and requires skills I dont have lol.

Honestly on a pretty much stock set up you really won't see much gain from a handheld tuner. You may be able to pull a max of 5-10rwhp on a stock set up and 10 is really optimistic. You can easily pull the same amount of power just from a decent CAI and pick up a mpg or 2.

And as far as the tuner being interchangeable, I'm pretty sure you won't be able to use it unfortunately.
