So monday im going to order the turbo kit from on3performance and im just wanting to know what else im going to need besides the base kit. if i can buy the stuff cheaper else where then i will. So far i have the walbro 255 fuel pump in the tank and just bought 39lbs injectors (ill have to buy the adapters). I know i need a blow-thru mass air and im not sure on everything else.....also anyone from the kansas city area know of a good place to tune? I just got told MC Racing isnt very good and thats where i was originally gunna go.....also the car is bone stock

Besides the turbo kit these are the things that you will need:

Bigger fuel pump
Bigger injectors
Blow-thru MAF
And chip/tune

It sounds like you have everything you need to put it on! good luck with the install.

I haven't heard anything bad about MC but you could also check out house of boost. I heard they are great guys to deal with. Check out KCSR.org if you havent already and ask around.

Make sure you take pics along the way. and start a build thread.
Does On-3 turbo require a different K-member, battery relocation, or removing the A/C?

Would i need to buy the chip/tune from on3 or could I get it from the place I go to tune it at?
And ive had a few buddies go to MC and really hated it there...they got quoted $350 for a tune and got charged $450, then if they have to go tune again its another $400+....ive had a few go to supertune and they said it was alot cheaper and if you have to go tune your car again its cheaper
As far as i know it does not require a different k-member for the kit, battery relocation is a maybe (thanks for bringing that up) and from what their page says I can keep my A/C.....if i had it lol
Before I put the turbo on im going to pull the motor and clean it up a bit and install new gaskets with a copper sealant (buddies said it was good to hold up boost)
And yes pictures will be taken if I have the time, I plan to clean up the engine compartment up a little as well

Yea you can buy a chip and get tuned at a place you pick. Tunes out here are anywhere from 5-700 but it's money well
Spent and added insurance in my opinion

Well i got to talking to my buddy because hes got the same kit on his fox and if i remember right he says the chip he has is a moates and the tuners werent for sure if they could tune his car with the moates or not...if not then i think all id need is the mass air meter but idk what size mass air meter it is, ill have to give On3 a call and find out a size and price and if i can get it cheaper then i will get one straight from Pro-M...then i think all thats left is the oil filter relocation kit (according to their site)...and i looked into the need to relocate the battery and there is no need, the piping goes under the battery

The chin spoiler should have no effect. Let me know how your install goes and how the tuning goes. I plan on getting the same kit. Any place around here should have the chips for you.

As far as a MAF goes there is a company out there that makes a 3 inch blowthru style using a 05-09 slot style sensor that is good up to like 900 HP or something ridiculous like that. I will try to find it and post the link to their site.

well i stopped by my buddys house tonight to help him clean his garage (part of our deal so he can help me with the turbo install) hes going to be tuning his car hopefully wednesday at house of boost and hopefully well start tearing my car down to clean it up some and fix some leaks sometime this week or next...but progress may be slow as i found out the other day that ill be working at the armory all next month to help for another units move to our unit...so i probably wont get my car tuned until october sometime...but as for a recent update i night shaded my tail lights and 3rd brake light and added a mach 1 chin spoiler...also which oil should be ran with a boosted application or can i still run what i usually do N/A?

If it were me... I'd definately be running a full synthetic.
conventional oil just can't take the heat as long and the friction co-effeciant is better with synthetic.
jet engines use synthetic oil and a turbo for the car isn't much different.
Your turbo kit should have a recomended oil

I'm running valvoline VR-1 20-50 racing oil in mine. That's what I was told to run by the guy that built my turbo.
