well...........what should i do..............i want 500 to the ground..........351 ci, or 393ci, and what size turbo for a single turbo setup...........this needs to be a reliable every day not to agressive build........i was thinking 393 with around a 70mm turbo............or would a 60mm be ok.........obviously torque will be favored in the combo but more torque is better..........let me know what i should do

If you want more drivabilty i say go twins.. And 351 would be good enough.. Are you going for a factory or aftermarket block?

Why not go with a dart 347 man o war block? 302 derived, should bolt right in with a lot less hassle and can take a ton of abuse.

the SMALLEST you can go is somewhere around a GT40R

I would tihnk if cost is a somewhat factor going with a 351 would be a little cheaper in the long run. I know you'd have to buy a new lower intake and new pan etc, but the man o war block is like 2300 bucks right?? I could be wrong. I would use a 351 block it should be plenty strong for 500 hp and could be found for a decent price.

because once he whets his appetite at 500whp and knowing much more is only a flick of the boost controller or, at worst, a turbo swap, he's going to want 6...7...800...+

well going off of what he said I would go 351 production block.....but if thats the case then an aftermarket 302 block (dart. boss etc) would be the way to go...anything but a production 302....

i was thinking something like..........stock 351 block .030 over.....stock crank.......forged h-eam esp rods.......and like 8:5:1 or 9:1 , either world sr/roush200 heads or the gt-40z heads, trickflow intake........and i dont know for sure on the turbo......i hear a few different things..........some people say small turbo lots of boost to make tons of torque.....and others that say (which im towards) .....big turbo little boost.........i hear that for a 351 like i want.......a t76 would be perfect with like 10 psi.....the fordracing 351 ho puts down 385hp with the gt40z heads.........so i dont know how much ill be n/a but i deffinatly am look for right around.......say......ill be happy as hell with.......450-550 to the wheels.........just enough to have tons of fun in and still be a steetable car as in ........not so much power that i dont go anywhere or cant get a really good street run in..........i plan to back it with a c4 and 3:73 gears is what i have now.........nothin to go around bragin about just somthin to drive and have tons of fun in and still be able to run in the 10's at the track...........so tell me if im on the right track........im not a genious when it comes to turbo sizes.........like ar. and maps and housings.....like trims and stuff......so all help will be awsome......i just want to know if my plans are realistic to me goals.......
