ok wondering if it matters if its steel or aluminum?? whats the difference and the advantage??

aluminums lighter so less weight for the motor to turn.

also, when the steel ones get scratched up, they are ugly. aluminum ones can be sanded with fine grit and polished-- i did this with some used bbk pulleys and they look new again for $0.

I have never heard on aluminum pulleys breaking, but thats just me

i personally have steel U/D for that reason.

i'd run the lightweight march SFI balancer. It's an underdrive in itself and really smooths out the motor and makes it feel alot better

is it just me or is the blue anodize really cheesy looking?? it seems like all the cheaper ones are blue anodized....i wish they had clear anodized or polished or something cheap lol

i dont like the blue either, but clear anodized would be nice. my aluminums get real dirty if i dont keep them waxed and polished. but if i do, they look like this

I went with billet alum, after my steel water pump u/d pulley became warped. Plus the silver (I wanted Red)finish does look alot better than the black u/d set I had

wow man cleaning pullies under the hood kinda seems like a pain lol especially if you WAX THEM lol :hammer: i might get the blue ...they have a summit brand aluminum for 89 and a trickflow exactly the same blue anodized aluminum for 96...do you think it matters on a name brand?? they look 100% identical in pics

Those are the type that have a crank pulley that "piggybacks" on your stock crank pulley. They suck. :p

Spend the extra $20-30 and get some Steedas.
