I'm looking for a set of "updated" C heads. I need them for an upcoming build project.

2C5Z-6049-CAB

Let me know if anybody has access to them, or has any available for sale.
Alternatively, I would also consider purchasing a pulled 2005 Lincoln Aviator engine, or wrecked vehicle.

How much you can put into a aviator?

There's a complete running 2005 Lincoln Aviator somewhat near me and the guy is asking $5,800 for it.
It would almost make sense to buy it just for the parts that I need and then sell/scrap off the rest.

I will see what I can do. It is getting harder and harder to get a lot of the pre 06 parts these days.

Will do! I have had some luck getting the older parts, it all depends on what is in the national inventory system.

Great. I've gotten quotes back from 3 local dealerships and the prices they've given me have all varied so greatly...
there has to be somebody out there with access to these at a "no BS" price. I can pay in cash if that makes any difference. :lipsrsealed:

One of my local Ford dealerships got back with me on a price of $3050 for the set. I told him to pull the trigger on it and ordered them.

Sorry it took me a little bit......I got the same thing from my parts department, however they were looking to see if they could get the set cheaper.

All the dealerships must pull their info from the same source because every place that I went to, or asked, they all quoted me the exact same numbers. Plus sales tax and a $150 core on each head.

One of the local dealerships, however did go down on the the prices a little, so I jumped on it. It ended up still being a more than I wanted to pay for them, but oh well. I appreciate your help on this regardless.

No. The revised C heads were available in 2005 only, and exclusively on the Lincoln Aviator. (Some were also used on terminators that went in for service under warranty.) The 2005 revised C heads corrected the issues that the 03 and 04 cobras had.

04 heads were fully revised and ended in -db on the part number i just sold a set they had 9 thread heads and the cooling mod fixed completely and 05 heads were the warranty fixes like you said but were used on cobras and machs and did come factory on just the aviators
