Thanks.. Most of the guys around here have cowls etc.. I wanted everything to fit under the stock hood. I actually had to notch the hood for the turbos compressor housing lol.. Tight fit but so worth it!

Ok guys so I flipped a fox intake and thought to my self just revers the trick flow elbow and your in!!.. Well I fucked up( kinda) turns out there's a hell of a bend on that guy and a downward bend of about 45* as well.. So when flipped it sets perfect for my re-addition of power steering.. But sits about 3" too high for a hood..

So I thought why not just cut a hole in the hood and just make it functional.. I'm moving in less than a week and it has to be streetable btw..
Well I'm not for the whole hole in the hood idea, then I thought hey buy a 4" cowl, but the slant isn't drastic enough and I may have to ruin a good hood.. So that's out!!

Then I saw where a fiberglass wizard made one from shaving his hood skin ecause of a very similar situation.. So I decided fuck it why not.. Working out great to be honest here are a few pics for now.. PVC will be used for cowl bracing so it won't flex out and it'll retain it's original rigid structure.. Here we go so far guys.. Had to raise it with a hard slant and at 5" in the rear total..

Cut it along the factory hood body line so it'll be easy to patch..But cut starting from 5" behind the pony..

I used a dremel with a rotary bit so it only cut the skin and not the bottom braces..then I carefully separated the skin with the front still attached to hold a factory contour..

I then notched the bottom brace with 1" of gap between anything it may con in contact with so engine flex won't be an issue with hitting the underneath..

I then spaced the rear till I had the same tolerance of play on the top skin to prevent later damage..

Wound up being 5" in rear till it reached a safe tolerance area. Then PVC was cut in two 5" posts for support to check fitment.. That's where I am now with it.. I'll add more bracing later and fiberglass and support the sides a few times over to make sure I get a good amount of glass in the hood.. But here is an idea of how fitment will be when finished.. Let me know what ya think..

Lol we don't have emissions.. It has a salvaged title because my hood flew up on the highway and it ripped the hood hinge mounts out of the body so they totaled it.. So I welded up new hinge mounts.. Mounted the new hinges, got a stock hood from my neighbor, new windshield, and fixed the roof and fenders.. Now this lol.. Highway patrol is going to love me lol..
