What/who should I go with? I want a 31 spline unit. Should I go with the LSD or trak lock?? Street driven but hit the track at least five times a year!

The trac Lock is a limited slip. Should be fine for you, or you can step up to a Eaton, or Auburn unit, I think a Detroit may be overkill for you.

or pick up an 03/04 cobra unit. 31 spline, carbon fiber clutches, and its very, very streetable. with only 5 track days a year, it will be fine for you.

That will be fine, but I beleive you can get that unit out of a truck for a little cheaper if you want to go the boneyard route.

an idea i'm using is the junkyard route...cause i dunno cheap i am. An Explorer 31-spline carrier, maybe a rebuild kit for it, some friction modifier, some gear oil, Alloy USA 31-spline axles, C-clip eliminators and calling it a day.
