Upgrading Brakes from my 96 to dual piston 99+

I have a 96 which has single piston calipers. I have drove my buddies 01 and his brakes seem to stop better. Maybe because of the Dual pistons. Would it be worth the time to upgrade to the Duals? I can get the dual piston assemblies for really cheap. Or, should I just say screw it and upgrade later when I can get Cobra brakes or better?

I already have steel braided lines on now.

I swapped out for a set of cobra brakes up front... one of the best mods I have done so far. The car brakes when you actually push the pedal, its great. One vote for cobras.
