I'm having a dilemma right now. I swapped a 4v from a 95 mark viii into a 96 ford mustang gt that had the motor replaced with one supposedly from a 98 GT. Now, the injectors from the mark viii use a jetronic connection according to a guide I saw on here http://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...4598-need-help-identifying-injector-size.html

According to LMR Jetronic harnesses are found on 1986-95 5.0L Mustang, 1996-04 Mustang GT 4.6L 2V and 1996-98 mustang cobra 4.6L 4V.
USCAR is found on 1999-2004 mustang cobra 4.6L 4V, 2003-2004 Mustang Mach 1 4.6L 4V, 2005-2010 Mustang GT 4.6L 3V.

I don't have the old injectors that were on the 2v as I sold them along with the engine a while back. But the harness that is currently on my car is a USCAR harness. I have made this conclusion from the info I found on sites. maybe that's why my car had been running like shit before I pulled the old motor out? hmm? I tried the injectors from the Mark viii and they wouldn't fit. So I just need some verification that the info on the first link is correct on the picture where it shows the USCAR and Jetronic injector. This is crazy that the previous owners did that. I wonder why?

I'm just hoping I don't have problems with the car not running right. I had what i was pretty sure was fuel problems when the 2v was in there. It would start running like if it wasn't getting enought fuel and shut off if I didn't keep tapping the gas pedal. it ran fine for the first year and a half that I had it. Then the fuel pump went out once and i kept having problems after that. I bought a Walbro pump now so hopefully it was a fuel pump problem.

I might check to see if the mark viii harness plugs in. I cut a couple of wires when I was pulling the 4v because it pissed me off so I cut it in a couple of places. I need to check what i cut. lol. I didn't think I would be needing the harness, but for some reason I kept it.

The jetronic plugs usually found on the old style fat injectors(ev1). Uscar is found on the new style injectors the slim ones (ev6)... Now you can get the ev6 injector style with old ev1 connection(jetronic). Which I recommend you do instead of using the adapters.. Much better injector over all..
