I'm seriously considering using a set of Coffin mufflers within my exhaust system. Inserting them in a way that I can certainly re-use them again when my GT comes along. Some people use them as resonators/mid-pipe connections, or practical mufflers. I like what I hear with them, 4 cylinder, V6, V8 all sound so good to me. I wondered if anyone else has them?

The company is "The Coffin" muffler.

It's about time for me to replace the cats on the car. My thoughts are to install a set of these directly to the outlet of the mid-pipe and then run straight pipe out from there.

Yeah, I like their tone produced. I have to start over with the exhaust. It will be stock headers, primaries with cats and X pipe, these Coffin mufflers directly connected to outlet of mid-pipe, and then straight piped out and over the axle to my tips. Thats the plan today. We'll see about tomorrow! You know how that goes-

its loud as hell for a stock motor. I can only imagine what it would sound like after you add a few things to the motor. I was suprised how much louder my HCI swap made my exhaust, with that kit I think it would be unbearable for anything short of track use.
