So I have an egr code for awhile now I have replaced some parts and cleaned it still keep getting the same code. Egr has insufficient flow. Can I I do the delete kit with out a tuner to turn off the Egr all together?

THis may not be helpfull at all but here goes. When I retired from teaching I worked in my friend's auto repair shop because I always messed with cars and old tractors. From time to time people would come in all concerned about a dash light coming on and a code. We would check the code and most times it was nothing. Disconnecting the battery for at least a full minute and then reconnecting allowed the computer to reset itself and the dash light is eliminated. and problem solved, I often got lights on the dash in my sn95, I pull the neg for a few minutes and then hook up, all good again.

What Orange said. If the EGR system is failing, it is sort of expensive to fix. Are you in a state that would require you to have it, or can you delete it?

If you can delete it, I would go ahead and do that. When I was younger I spent a great deal of $$ replacing all of the EGR components because I thought it was important, and I was nervous about buying a tuner. Big mistake, I could have bought the tuner and a tune by the time I got the CEL to turn off on its own with parts replacement.

If you have a small piece of aluminum, it's not hard to make your own block plate, just make sure to put a gasket on it. The hardest part is what to do with the manifold pipe. Some people just crimp and bend the pipe and miraculously don't get exhaust leaks, but the more preferred method is to weld the hole shut.

Yeah I live in South Carolina and don't plan on moving any where I just want to get rid of the Egr all together because all it is doing is nothing good for the car. Just wanted to make sure I can go ahead and do this before getting a tuner. My daily needs a clutch so unfortunately that is where I have to put my money at the moment other than the sn95

You can delete the EGR system completely and provided you do it right, there will be no ill effects aside from the light coming on until you get it tuned out.
