I just did an H/C/I on my car. I cut the fill neck on the valve cover and blocked it so I don't have any vaccum on the valve cover. Can it cause bad idle? If so, is there a way that I can remain to this?

Will I have to drill an adapter in it to route a vaccum and block the fill neck after?

Are you using the stock valve covers?? If you are then i would switch to aftermarket and just use a breather filter. Looks better and is functional.

Yes. I did the same thing once where I blocked the small breather tube that runs from the valve cover fill to the air inlet. Had a weird idle. Re-attached it... fixed.

yeah... The problem is that the small breather tube isn't there anymore. If I drill a tube directly in the valve cover, do you think it's a good idea?

Drill a hole in the valve cover for a breather, then get a breather with a port in it, and attach it where it was.

theres a write up around here somewhere about the pcv system. cant seem to find it right now. however in that write up it explains that the tube going to the oil fill neck is actually how the pcv system draws fresh air into your engine. basically with out that hose you are causing improper pcv function. if you would happen to use just a breather that is technically a vacuum leak and can cause poor idle. good luck
