I'm assuming that i will have valve cover clearance problems with my 1.6rr with stud mounts.. So I emailed canton and they say their valve covers will work and i will not need a intake spacer.. Is this true and has anyone tried one? Also I like the look of the trick flow valve covers if any of those work with my setup could anyone give me a parts number.. eBay seems to be the way to go ...

tfs covers SHOULD work without any issues. the main problem SN-95's have with valve covers is actually the alternator. Most aftermarket covers hit the alt, and wont line up properly.

Stock fox will work.

I have a set of TFS covers sitting in the garage. Don't know if they'd work - they look sorta tall.

Mine are just stock fox ones that I sanded down until they are smooth, bead blasted, and powdercoated myself. I sold a couple sets to some folks on this forum.

The TFS valve covers appear a little taller, and have the ugly 1980s-ish logo on them. I'm not sure if they would fit without a spacer or not. Perhaps someone else can chime in here.

Not all valve covers will fit because the alternator housing sits much closer to the motor on SN95s, and hits the front of the passenger cover.

Fox valve covers will work but you have to modify them, grind off the oil baffles (spell check)also stack 2 gaskets.

Also, i thought the trick flow will work, but i cant confirm that.

If it hits the alternator, the only options I'm aware are to grind the valve cover, or the alternator casing, or cut the valve cover, notch it, and weld a plate in. I had that done to my old Ford Racing valve covers and it worked like a champ.

It's easier to just buy valve covers that actually fit.

summit said they would fit.and i fixed my sig damn it was huge huh

Summit techs are about as smart as a Bonobo monkey with Down syndrome. Listen to us, not them.

I asked them for some info about a cam a looooong time ago, and informed them it was for a 418 cubic inch Ford motor. They told me those don't exist. :tard:

Your sig is still huge panther lol. I run TFS valve covers, they fit just fine, I run a 3/8" spacer though, if you don't the EGR I believe hits the valve cover, it was that or the intake elbow.
