One thing I have noticed is that the issues often go away for a couple minutes after I reconnect the battery. Just today I had the battery disconnected while I was working, and when I reconnected it and tested if the fan would turn on with they key, it didn't. Then I tested it a couple more times because I didn't believe it was fixed, and the third or fourth time the fan turned back on and it's back to how it was. Not sure if that means anything that the issue goes away for a bit after the battery is reconnected.
