Was wondering if this stuff in the links is exactly what I need to swap to vertical tail lights? I wanna get the raxiom smoked tails from AM and I think this is the right harness kit. I'm going to see if the junkyard has any 96-98 lights with the harness before I buy brand new ones. But if I need to buy new these tails with that harness will work right ?

I would just try and find an oem harness used somewhere before you go splicing the others in. I have a set of 94-95 and my stock taillights that I can swap as I please. If you cut up your harness you will be stuck with the new lights.

So what you mean is try and find the tails with the harness already attached with em? How would that work if I got the harness with the 96-98 lights and if i wanted to switch back to the 94-95? Are the harnesses separate after you unplug them from the lights that nothing has to be cut only plugged in?

When you want to swap the lights out, you just unplug one plug per taillight and swap the other lights in.(With stock harnesses)

If you pull back the plastic/carpet stuff in the rear of your trunk you will see the small plug on each side for the taillights. The 96-98 has the same plug.

no prob there were the cheapest I found too 26 bucks for both with shipping is pretty cheap.. I would keep your 94-95 tails and harness just so in the future you can always switch it up and swap em out for a different look..

I bought my 96-98 tails off of ebay, they were alittle pricey but they still shine like new. As for the harness I wanted sequentials, so I just bought the sequential plug and play harness off of AM. I say do sequentials, they are just better lol!

I know some people don't like the 96-98s on 94-95s but I wanna change up the look. I like these horizontals but the bezels are faded and look like crap, so I could switch to 96-98 ones and restore these nicely how I'd like em. Sequentials would be sick lol, so alls I need is a harness for each light, the tails obviously and a sequential kit from AM eventually. I'll keep my horizontals so I can switch between the two if I want. Yeah you can put horizontals on a 96-98. Get 94-95 tails with those harnesses and your good

Just a little off topic, but I really do appreciate how great the OEM tails are. Mine are still mint after 17 years. No cloudiness, scratching, fading, or anything. So one more vote for OEM OP.
