Vortech + Stock = ?

I have a 94 Gt. Looking to be in the 300+ rwhp range. Thinking Vortech and supporting mods but idk which s/c to go with, their promoted kit for a 5.0 makes 315(flywheel I belive) Possible? Opinions? Ideas? Thanks guys.

buy as many used parts as possible, just be careful with doing that. You'll save a whole bunch o moola... Also, do you do much racing? or just street light stuff?

imo get a new kit, V-3 Si would be my choice. new comes with a 3 year warranty and everything you need. it will easily make the numbers you want plus the ability to grow for the future

Shes my DD and I just wanted some more out of her. Probably going to go with a new kit. Im iffy about buying used stuff.

i am wondering the same thing..i have a 95gts with full exhaust,355 gears,aluminum ds,centerforce df clutch and flywheel.and power heads that i havent installed yet,(the heads)was looking for a fun blower..numbers dont mean shit to me,just quick fun and worth the money.

im not worried about numbers exactly, just used that as a baseline as that should be a pretty fun dd. easiest way to explain what im looking for lol

sorry for the highjacking of the thread but was wondering the same thing..looking to get high 300s low 400..im also gonna use a steeda 19 cam and tfs street intake.

they are stock e7s that have been cnc ported and throats cut and bigger valves stuffed in ..check em out..powerheads.com i dont advise buying em now cause the price went threw the roof...but mine flow 215intake and 175 exhaust.the valves are 1.94int 1.6 exh and they come with a 5 angle valve job.at the price he wants now u can get some good used or almost new aluminum.

Stock 5.0s with Single turbos are putting down over 400RWHP with nothing more then 10PSI and damn near 500Ft/Lbs...

have that issue..was some good reading and got me really wanting a turbo until i remembered the dreaded smog machine..las Vegas smog checks are just as bad as California...lucky me.so all forced induction must be smog legal..leaving me with vortech,pro charger,and kenne bell..the kb is out of the question,at 118 deg in the summer you wouldn't be able to run much more than 7 psi maybe 8...im not paying 3500 for that.
