water leak

Just wondering if this is a common occurance. After my car sits for about a week in cold weather I will notice coolant has leaked and pooled on top of my water pump and bellhousing. Not a large amount, but i was wondering if this would be common with the aluminum intake and heads shrinking in cold temps and perhaps letting the water through. I have kept a close eye on my oil to make sure no coolant is getting in there. Again, is this common or should I pull the intake and re-silicone. Thanks.

the cars a 95 and I've got a trickflow intake on the afr heads. Afr and trick flow recommended snugging the intake bolts rather than torquing them. I may go back through and tighten the s**t out of'em. Like I said, no coolant is getting in the oil. Will tightening the bolts make it worse or help??

Torque settings are useful if your not sure how tight to fasten something.
For most things, you need good judgement to make sure its not loose, as AFR heads are alloy, you cant go mad tightening the bolts down.
Nipping them up a little would be worth a try, dont go mad.
I have afr heads and cobra intake and its been fine, if its leaking at the inlet coolant gasket, i'm surprised none's getting in the oil or going out through the heads, the fact it just leaks "upwards" is a bit weird.
Are you losing much coolant?

arent the heater cores designed to leak out around there before they go bad?

I snugged the bolts up a bit. They were slightly loose at the corners. We'll see if that helps. Like I said, the oil looks good, but I'm gonna change it anyway.

when you installed the intake manifold, did you use the cork gaskets in the front and rear, or use atv? the cork gaskets are prone to
leaking, and you said your getting coolant by the water pump (front) and bellhousing (rear) so that could be a prob.
