Weird Idle Problem.

I have a weird problem at idle.

Bassically what happens is when i like pull up to a stop light or something and sit there it idles fine. Then all the sudden the check engine light flashes on and off and at the same time the engine surges to around 1500 rmp, it then falls and idles fine again.

Any suggestions?

Check the engine codes and see whats it says. Probably point you right to the problem.

yup pull the codes first. might be something as simple as cleaning the maf. when was the last time that was done anyway

i did it recently, but i just recently made a home made CAI. There is a sensor or something thats orange color. I didnt put this into my CAI. What is this piece, and could it be causing the problem?

Man you cant just be leaving things off your car lol. Especially sensors. Can you get a picture of it? does it have an electrical plug or what? Get those codes pulled though.

sounds like my 95 and everybody els with a 94-95 stock comp. with engine mods lolin this case tweecer rt is god and i need his prayer bad caNT WAIT UNTIL I GET SOMETHING TO TUNE COMP. HATE THE FACT SHIFT ASSIST,EGR FUNCTION,AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS DOES WRONG.i was looking into the a9 conversion but think i will just tune this comp i hear there really good once you put tune
