Weird noise from my car

So I noticed sometimes when I start my car and shift from park to reverse it kind of makes this odd humming noise. If I rev while it makes that noise it goes away, it also occasionally occurs when I slow down to a roll while driving; although it does that rarely. Any ideas on what it could be?
