This all started today after work. I drove the car to work in the morning window down slightly and it went up no problem. When I left work I had the window all the way down, again no problems. I then went to put the window up and it was a no go. Nothing not a budge or anything. I did hear clicking after I pressed the button so the switch should be good. I even started the car to see if that would make a difference which of course it didn't. I then went out and came how a few hours later(not in the mustang). When I got home I tried it and nothing again. I went inside for a few minutes and came back out started the car and now the window works perfectly fine. It went up and down a few times then I just left it up because its supposed to rain tomorrow and I don't want to risk it. This is the drivers door if that matters. Any ideas?

I thought about that but my old tbird had bad bushings and it didn't act like this does. It would kinda catch the motor this seems like it was either working or not

pull the panel, take the three bolts out holding the motor in, unplug it and pull it out, take a small screwdriver and pry the cover off and check the bushings and drive unit. Mine did the exact same thing but was different than my dad's 92 tbird. both of them needed bushings.

measure the ground, I had a broken groundwire in the wiring between the door and the chassis causing the same problem.

talking about wierd problems.. my 1 touch power down module somehow got water in it, most likely from the window belt that cracked, but anyway.. it got wet and in the middle of a damn downpour (go figure) it just decided to come down all by itself no touching the button or anything.. just came down.. i had to beat the door panel and hold the button up to get it back up then had to drive about 6 miles with my finger on the switch to keep it up lmao...
