So I am having a weird WOT problem. If I drive normal, my car is okay. When I push the pedal about WOT and WOT my car starts to not work so well. It kinda surges back and forth. My A/F gauge says that its okay, but something is seriously wrong. It throws the CEL light sometimes but it turns off almost as quick.

What the hell is going on.

narrow band or wide band A/F?

im thinking a mis-fire. it will trigger your MIL lamp.

check your cap and rotor, spark plugs, and clean your MAF... then report back to us :-D...

also... post some pix of that sexy beast will ya? ... i wanna see what the front looks like too! :p

take off the top of your distributer and check where the connections are made. They get corrosion and you can just scrape it off with a screw driver or sandpaper.

while your taking apart your intake, might as well clean your IAT... it will rule one more thing out...

also, if you have a volt meter, check your spark plug wires.

finally, check your spark plugs, they should be tan colored... re-gap them.

id also clean your battery terminals if they are dirty. could also be your coil going out, but usually they just go out... they dont really cause problems until they are just dead.... at least with my experience.

my MAF was trashed and could function under normal load but when i tried to get on it it'd kind of stutter some and all so you might need to just clean yours
