I heard it was easy to snap the sn95 rear bars, but I haven't even taken the car to an auto-x yet, just broke this on a canyon drive...

Looks exactly like mine did at 50,000 miles lol. I replaced it with a bullitt unit and have been fine ever since.

I put a foxbody bar onto it today that I got for free, but I'm seriously considering ordering the whole bullitt kit, I could use the springs and shocks/struts on my 91 convertible, and the swaybars on the 97...

Damn, guess I should keep an eye on mine.

Any difference between the Fox RSB and the SN95 RSB?

I replaced mine with a 1996-1998 Cobra Rear Sway bar.

That decision was based on what a friend who worked at Maximum Motorsports..

The Cobra rear sway is quite a bit thicker than the GT :)

the foxbody rear bar is a solid bar, rather than hollow like the stock GT's, but it is a little smaller diameter. The car feels the same to me though.

Actually the whole issue with these bars is only the 94/95 bars which are not made anymore. Any replacement bar you get at Ford will be solid and won't break on you.

so why did I break my bar within 5000 miles of driving on my 97gt?

No idea, I just know the only bars you can get for the SN95s now are the 96-up versions at Ford.
