I just blew a friggin sparkplug out my 96 gt....wtf is this? Can it be fixed without buying a new head? Its funny, I just finished painting it, then I go for a lil cruise, on my way back from kragen getting a taillight bulb I heard a loud clacky noise...barely heard it over my music. I was about a mile away from my house, but i had to call a tow truck cause it sounded soooo bad. Is there any permanent damage that can be caused by this? I noticed that on the coil packs way out it knocked one of the fuel injector connectors off of a different cylinder.

Its common in 2V 4.6 heads.

You can get a time cert to fix it or get a new head.

Sometimes this is caused by over tightening the spark plug and stripping the threads.

The time cert kit is gonna be a few hundred dollars to buy and does like 6 repairs. Your best bet is to find a local shop who does it for $50-100 or so. How far are you from MMR? They probably have it. I know Nick @ modularheadshop.com does it for $25 a plug.
