my clutch is bad :BangHead: so im looking to upgrade, i want it to be able to handle somewhere from 300 to 350 hp( depending on how crazy i get with spending $ on my mods) but im nowhere near that power yet and i dont want to upgrade twice. And i see tht king cobra clutches dont do well with tht much power? so im wondering if a centerforce or stage 2 would be better? would I also have to upgrade my tranny? if so what do u recommend? thanks

I put a spec clutch in my 4.6 and I love it. Light pedal feel, easy on the knee and grabs like a hungry monkey!

I've heard Spec 1's are heavier than Spec 2's.. I run the Spec 1 and it's a bit irritating for daily driving. Though, it has gotten better after a few thousand miles.

I never heard about the spec 1 being a heavier pedal feel than the spec 2. I run a spec 3 and its the first aftermarket clutch i've had. the pedal feel is very light but the down side to some people is that the clutch does not provide any slip when engaging the gear so its not a daily driver clutch for some folk. I don't mind the instant engage feel. for me the lighter pedal feel is worth the more aggressive throttle use i had to adopt when i had the clutch put in. but according to spec their +stage clutches (stage1+, 2+ etc..) give good grip and are better for daily driving. good luck!

I bought a Centerforce Dual Friction for my tko and I love it. Easy pedal feel, and it grabs hard but not all at once like a lot of other "puck"
style clutches. Whenever this one goes out (hopefully not right after I get my car put back together) I will be replacing it with another Dual Friction.

I replaced my centerforce dual friction last year with another one. Great clutch with very light pedal pressure. I've also had a spec 2 but I like the CF DF better

I am a big fan of the Centerforce DF and I loved mine but it is pricey and prob not necessary for a mid 300HP car. :dontknow:

Ford Racing clutch kit holds about 50% more power but is a little stiff/tough but not bad imo. I used it in my 92 LX and I didn't think it was bad..
