I say black block, and just have the valve covers powder coated the same color the car will be. Leave everything else alone.

From all the car shows i have seen painted blocks and interior peices black is the way to go. Its easy maintenance(sp?)

When i look at colored engine bays i just see a little bit of *SAID COLOR* and mostly road grime. With black, its the same color as road grime. :thumb:

I say black, to keep it clean looking...then accent with metallic dk grey powdercoated valve covers...and other random powdercoated accessories.

Ford blue is old school...4v mach1 deserves the new school :thumb:

No car of mine will be a garage queen, but the intent is that it will get so dirty that it won't matter what color the engine/headers actually are until I get down there and polish them up. That'd just look so clean if done well...

I like the looks of black as well, but only possible problem is if you have a leak or something couldn't that color make it hard to see where its coming from cause it would blend in to well?

When the time comes to paint my 408, it's going to be a black block, and all the bracketry and valve covers and what not will be powdercoated graphite grey... I like the black idea with the powdercoated accesories. it'll look blingin.

Black or "cast iron" colored.

Then powdercoat a bunch of stuff that goes on it.

This is tough, you guys are not being much help. The poll is close. I am torn between black new school, and Ford blue old school. I don't want to do body color (Antique Bronze) the engine compartment is going to be black.
