What drag radials???

What should i go with? Im thinking about going with some 275/50/15 nittos, since they seem to have the longest wear. But i have heard good and bad. My other thought was some bfg i have heard lots of good but they seem not to last long. I would love a set of M/T et streets but they wear the fastest of all of them and are a bias ply tire. I have heard mixing the bias ply and radial will make the car drive weird.

My car is a toy but do like to go cruizing and the occational drive home which is about 200miles. I dont want to invest in another set/pair of rims.

If you havent used these tires i dont want your input or hear say.

Definitely go with the Nittos, nothing wrong with that tire at all and has excellent street manners.

I hardly drove my ET Streets on the road, but they drove fine, they just spun real easy in the wet. great on the strip though.

I never had a problem with my 555R's in the rain, just drive sensibly.

il ove my nittos, great on the street, way better at the track and they arnt terrible in the rain you just have to be careful for sitting water.
just get them you wont regret it

i run Mickey Thompson 275/45/R17's and have 10K on them and still have tons of tread. they do kick out a little in the rain but if you drive with a steady foot they drive not bad and are the best Drag Radials i have ever used period.

The M/Ts hook hard!! But I'd go with the Nittos until you start getting to where you would NEED the M/Ts. Just remember you gotta white smoke the piss out of the Nittos at the track to make them hook really good (no water).

if your gonna street drive it and say you run drag radials.. get the nitto's

if you wanan be a big timer and play with the big boys at the track you gotta get the micke thompson street radials, thats what i run on my welds on the street and i cant break them loose after a 5min drive, hook great look and wear AWESOME, i run slicks as you know at the track... BUT alot of ppl love these at the track too. if not just get a set of et streets (basically a slick with two teeny tiney traction grooves)

In my experience the Nittos hook just fine when they're heated. They grip enough to break stock axles...

its not the tire, tis alot of other things that will break an axle, i run SLICKS 12 psi and let the clutch out pretty hard from 5 gran and i STILL have yet to break an axle with 120k .. alot of it too had to do with if you have an a/m clutch.... that wont allow any slip.. and will snap axles pretty quickly

My 275/40-17 nittos were only 150 each, i recall the BFG and MT being a lot more money but i honestly don't remember if that was in the 18" sizes.
