Those prices aren't bad but considering the nittos usually last at least 3x as long as the other two i'd say they're a much better deal for a street tire.

I think i had around 10k on my nittos with a few burnouts at the track and they still have usable tread left on them. I would have bought them again if they offered a good 18" size for a reasonable price, but they don't.

are you kidding me? the prices are that close between the nittos and MTs. IMHO if you dont spend $6 more a tire to go from Nitto to MT than....well i dont know but for that close of a price difference it seems to me to be a no brainer

It's a lot more than $6 a tire when you're replacing them 2-3x as often as the Nittos.

I can't help you with that particular tire size, but i have had both Nitto 555R drag radial (275/40/17) and currently
have BFG drag Radial (315/30/18). Both tires Come with less than 6/32nds of tread, so neither are going to be outstanding
rain performers, but with my experience, the Nittos were WAY better if i ever got caught in the rain. BFGs hydroplane at every
chance, just puttin around town, so i never drive my mustang anymore if there is a chance of rain. Both tires hooked well
on the street, but then again I don't have as big of a sidewall as you are wanting to run, so track performance suffered a little
for me. I've heard very good things about the M/Ts, but never any first hand knowledge.

Nitto's are great for street driving, I only run those for the street now but not the best option at the track. The ET Streets are the best of both worlds
