I know i had another thread somewhere but the search on here sucks balls so ill start it again.

So far I have the head gaskets, head bolts, intake gaskets, header gaskets and bolts, new water pump, thermostat gasket. Im waiting on the pushrods to make sure i get the right length. besides maybe buying a cam do i need anything else for my head swap?

Why didn't you just get the head swap kit from summit??

Get some High-Temp RTV from your work, the black stuff is best. Don't use the shitty cork gaskets at the front and back of the block for the intake. They just blow out anyways and then you have oil all over the place. Lay a fat bead at the front and back, give it sometime to quagulate (sp) and then lay the lower intake on top.

Get a new 180 Thermostat - I am assuming you already got one since you said you have a therm gasket.

If you buy a cam your going to want a new timing chain, Timing chain cover gasket, Oil pan gasket (get the perma-torque blue rubber gasket)

Valve cover gaskets - again get the reusable blue rubber (Perma-Torque) - you guys carry this shiat at AutoZone.

I am sure I will think of something else too...

Lots and lots and lots of Carb Cleaner. Roughly 10 cans...use it as much as you can CLEAN EVERYTHING. Get a razor too to clean off the block so there is no gasket material/residue on the block or the heads. You want a good seal, never wanna do the job twice.

Not sure if im going to get a cam yet so i was holding off on they timing stuff. Already got the valve cover gaskets to i forgot those. I was plannin on taking all my parts like intake and others to the machine shop to get hot tanked with the heads. and then im painting everything that goes back on.
