I know some people may not like these threads, but I wanted to see what everyones opinion was on the subject. In a few years I might be doing one of the following, so I wanted to know what you guys thought.

1.) 03-04 Cobra engine/trans swap into current sn95
2.) 03-04 Mach 1 engine/trans swap into current sn95, then get forged internals and supercharge it
3.) Save $ for awhile, then buy an 03-04 Cobra
4.) Save $ for awhile, then buy and 03-04 Mach 1, then get forged internals and supercharge it

Those were a few things I was thinking, but if you can think of a better engine swap or car to buy, speak up.

^^ Very true...I also don't know if I could take on that kind of challenge. I could see a lot of people getting half-way into it then getting overwhelmed with everything that goes into the build.

I would personally save for an 03 Cobra with those options. But I really want a 2011 GT :notworthy:

I went through this thought not too long ago. My car is going up for sale soon. Ill take an 03/04. With everyone jumping on the new 5.0s which i think are hideous, Ill buy an already built twin screw car and spray it top for added hp when needed hehe. Pretty sure itll be able to handle a new 5.0.. lol

If I was looking for something new, I would just go with a 03/04 Cobra. Even if you bought a mach 1, it sounds like you still want to build it
to do the same thing that a cobra could do stock... boost it.. And I would much rather have a newer car that doesn't have some of the characteristics a 15 year old car does.

A lot of good responses. I would say go with the 03/04 Cobra. Because if I am not mistaken the Terminator has a cast iron block? And I know the Mach 1 is all aluminum... so I am assuming that cast iron is better for boost in this case.

Also... I really like that the Terminator is IRS.

I'm in a similar situation...but I'm considering a PI motor swap (in like 2 months), or selling the stang and getting a new project.
