I am pulling the motor out of my car right now, and me and some friends have an argument. Which way is easier? Though the top with tranny, through the top without tranny, or though the bottom k-member and all.

I have already pulled the motor once though the bottom and that didnt take too long but this time I am trying to go though the top.

motor and transmission through the top. you will not have to mess with taking transmission bolts out in tight spaces.

probably be faster to pull it with the trans in place.. use a come along to get the angles you need tho during R&I.
i dont think the bellhousing bolts would be that fun to try to pull off from underneath the car.

I did it with the tranny out and pulled the motor up. It was fairly easy but Im thinking pulling it out with the tranny and a load leveler would have been easier.

Through the top with the trans attached. If I can do it with a large by huge T56, a teeny weenie T45 should have no trouble at all.
