I just got a hold of a borla side exhaust for my vert. I'm currently running bassani equal length headers and a custom x-pipe. I'm worried that the fumes are going to become more of a problem now that the exhaust gases are coming out closer to the passengers. What are good options for a Catted h or x pipe? Or can anyone recommend a set of cats that aren't too restrictive?

I don't think it'd be that much of a problem. I run dumps and don't enough noticeable fumes to worry with cats. I can't see your's being more of a problem with them at least run out the side.

I picked up a new bassani catted x pipe for $400 on eBay and installed today with my side exhaust. Although there's no more fumes, the new setup is so much quieter :( I'm starting to miss the old pile of junk, I'll post up some vids as soon as I upload them.

Fumes are really going to depend on the wind direction as the pipes will still sit slightly behind the doors. As far as mid pipes go don't go cheap, you'll have install issues and long term quality issues, try to find something in stainless steel, or aluminum coated, something to resist rust and decay.

Like I said I picked up the bassani catted X. I have almost no fumes at all compared to my off road x and the flowmasters I had.

I had those same mufflers on mine. I have no cats @ all. The fumes were never bad. I park in a 3 sided carport, too. It kept it all in by me, I mean. Never slightly bothered me.

Oh yeah, I had & have my stock mid-pipe.
