Everybody always say gears, You said you have a 96gt what are your mods?? I would buy a pi intake manifold and cai. You can find a good used pi intake for really cheap you could probably find the intake and the parts needed for the swap for $150 which leave you $350 which you could buy a CAi and probably a throttle body too. Thats probably the easiest and cheapest 30-40hp (Est.) your gonna get. Plus its easy to install these parts on your on too and I'll take 30+ hp over gears anyday.

Gears are really not that hard to swap out.

$375 too much? Hell I'd kiss any man that would do my gears for that price. That's right, I said kiss!! I've had about 6 pricequotes for installing them right now, all in the range of $650, some going up to $800+.

Well my goals for this motor are to try to get it into high 13s. I got the underdrive pulleys. Thats it just bought the car this month from a older gentleman who babied the car. With gears I would rather have someone else do it so theres a warranty on the work. Not a fan of NOS. I may do the intake swap. And wait on the cai. Save my money for something else.

If you do gears and you blow them at the track, there will be no warranty.
