What to buy

Well i found out im get about 420 back for my tax return and then im selling my lil ricer turd for around 1500-2000. So what should i spend the money on? I'm def. having my gears, sub-frames, and seats put in but that will only take up my tax return. My plans with some of it would be a n2o wet kit, new tires, and some steeda drag springs. Where do you guys think this stuff will put me at 1/4 wise? my best time to date is a 15.2. I want atleast 13's this year, i think I would probibly just put the rest in savings.

Def. some springs (4x4) with $2000 you can get a top engine kit or a stroker kit

The 2nd best bang for the buck in my opinion = supercharger. You can find a used one for under 2,000 in many classifieds. The best bang for the buck is gears of course. I hope I get at least 1,500 from my taxes, I need a paintjob.

Now that I read your sig, I'll say this. Get the Cobra lower intake ported and get yourself 3.73s at least. The difference will be night and day, and it'll cost you 500/600. Plenty left for springs like mentioned and you can still put almost half of your cash away. Good luck.

yes im an auto vert. i have 4.10's sitting in my room along with the subframes and seats. Im going with the steeda drag spring which will lower the car about .5. I need to find a good price on a stall.

You're on the right track. I didn't know that any drag springs would drop the car. If I knew I would've got Steeda's instead of Eibach launch kit, my car sits higher than stock.
Port the intake bro, the throttle response is great, plus more HP.

Might want to look into an Edge stall they are not bad priced. When I do my motor I will be in a street edge.

Make sure you do the 4.10's first. If I where you i would do a stall and some n2o and some sticky tires.

A set of AFR 165 heads and a shift kit for your trans. I ran a 14.5 in my gt with just shorty headers, a mac catback, 4.10's, a torsen t2 diff, and the rear seat and spare removed. Now I got a transgo shift kit and a mac pro-chamber and at full weight (spare tire, back seat and trunk full of stuff) I ran 14.9, (couldn't get the tires to hook, too cold out and the track was horrible prepped). With those heads an intake and cam I'd be in the low 13's no prob.

im in kansas. I have not interest in the 165's i want the 185's but i dont have the time to do a heads and cam right now. I probibly wont go afr eather. I was thinking about a 3500 stall but i need to look a lil more into it. This way i can see how far a stock 5.0 can go. I also want to get a zex 100shot in here. hopfully the car might be gone tommorow but i need to figure this stupid starting problem out. I FUCKING HATE IMPORTS.

you probably should only go 3000 stall on a 5.0 Seems to work the best and keeps you right at the start of the powerband.

3500 is more 4.6 territory.

well i sold the nissan for 1500, so ill spend it when i get back from vegas :banana:

Gears and a convertor. That will take you a long way from where you are now.

I already have the gears :thumb: I might not go n2o right now. I need to get under the car and see if the LT headers have to come off to do the converter.

i live just south of wichita in a lil hick town called rose hill. I think in the next couple of months im going to be moving to leon, with my parents :crying: unless i find a better job or start over somewhere else.

i know rose hill. im originally from winfield but now in lindsborg for school. ill be back there in the summer though.
