Ok my stang is fairly stock right now with only a BBK CAI, MAF, UD pulleys, and a few MSD stuff. I'm looking for something that will really help me out on the street and on the strip. What should i get to see good results??

mmmm i dont really see what can be reduced in the wieght area, convertibles are already heavey dont see anything i can take out....

Gears i think would be a good mod.... 3.73 or 4.10??? We really don?t have highways down here mostly city driving lots of stops and traffic..

Lmao! Just leave it stock. Your car will always be slow, no point in throwing your money away.

On the other hand, weight reduction, suspension work, bolt ons and a 100 shot dropped my e.t 3.5 seconds and gained 20mph in the 1/4 mile....

mmm nitrous is not the best option for me... dont live in the u.s. so pretty hard find nitrous over here.... the weight reduction and suspension work looks interesting was just reading a sticky on that... are the K Member and A member the same for a coupe as for a convertible?

Yeah i know our cars have really low hp but i wouldn't go saying our cars are slow... :confused1: over here the competition isn't as hard as over there so i want to build a pretty fast stang... there are few V8s over here so I want everyone to know my car is pretty fast and can defend itself on the street and strip

Our cars may be slow from the factory but can be made fast and competitive with ease. There's not that many cars that are this "fast" for how much they are.

Nobody explained the gears effect yet!!

So here goes ... Changing the gears in the rear differential will give you much faster acceleration & will really wake your car up! It will pull harder from the start & through every gear. You will think you have a bigger engine installed. It will cut back your top speed possible but that is not a problem unless you live by the Autobahn. And it will increase your gas consumption a bit depending on your lead foot usage. 3:73 & 4:10 ratios are very popular...I picked up 3:55's for a good price & will be happy with them as I drive a lot of long freeways. If you are mostly city driving I might choose the 4:10's for the most fun.

Just replace all the bearings & seals & the Trac Lok parts & axle bearings while you are in there. Easy to do at this time & well worth it.

Bang for buck mod would defiantly be gears! I remember when I put 3.73s in my stock 5.0L, night and day difference! Actually looking at the weight reduction list, I will have most of that stuff by the end of the year, minus comfort items like my seats/airbags/stereo/AC but I have a tubular front end, aluminum driveshaft, no strut tower brace (If I get a kenne bell, I don't think they make would that would fit), fiberglass hood etc etc. I wonder what my car would weigh in drag trim next year...
