Done! Just ordered 20mm(3/4”) hubcentric wheel adapters/spacers to close that gap on the rears.4E7E09B0-3FC0-4D97-BD72-B475C62154E3.jpeg24B83938-A8E4-419F-A359-6766FB999C31.jpeg

Did you actually order the 255's as stated? If so, no big deal, but the stock tires, I believe, are 245, are they not?

Regardless, I can condone your tire choice. I have 555 Extremes on my car, in 275/70-17's all the way around and have no complaints other than the fact that they tend to flat-spot a bit if the car sits on the concrete for a couple weeks or more. The two solutions to that are park on thick carpet squares (helps), and/or drive the friggin' thing more!

When I logged in my car on America’s Tire dot com, it showed the 255/45zr17 as the OE size. Not a tremendous difference between the 2 sizes though.

I have two sets of R58 Cobra R wheels with one set having 275/40-17 track tires and the other set street tires. With the HP I'm putting down I really need to get wider rubber on the ground. I could run an 18x9.5 wheel with 285/35-18 tires, but that would only give me 10mm more front and rear.
I should really be running 335/30-18 F/R but there's no way to fit those inside the stock fenders, even with the rear lip rolled.
I'm thinking I should be able to run 305/35-18 tires both front and rear if I can identify the correct wheel offset. I need an 18x10 wheel but I don't know what offset to use. Does anyone know?

Didn’t go through the first time.
Hi Ron,
What offset are those 10.5" wheels on the back and are you using any spacer? I'd love to run this width, preferably in an 18", in the back of my '95 R. I don't know what I can get away with as far as wheel width in front. I'm running a 17x9 now in front with no problems. I'm pretty sure I could run a 9.5"width in front but again, I need to know what dia, width and offset people are running successfully. Help!
Thanks! Perry

What if......

what if I put the 3/4” spacers on the front and replaced the rears with 1.25” - 1.5” spacers? Would it be safe to put spacers on the front? And would 1.5” spacers (twice the width of the current ones) make it look like two rear tires jutting out, looking stupid?

Much better!!!!

Not sure I can hand you back your man card just yet though. I might need a Smokey burnout video to verify your worthy.

I don’t make the rules, I just help enforce them.

Gonna ask The Panel to take into consideration the fact that I’m still down on compression in 2 cylinders so I doubt the fucking thing will even DO a burnout right now (he says modesty and humbly)!!
